Instant Challenges

This was the first Instant Challenge we had. Unfortunitly we didn't have our phones to take the picture of the challenge so this is all we have. For this Instant Challenge, we had to find a way to make the longest and most stable bridge using a file folder and two 3/4inx3/4in. Titus and I made a 19 inch product of the final model.

This instant Challenge had us build a Paper Airplane and use extra materials to make it go faster, higher, and further. Sadly our best idea was not enough so we had to do a basic launch which went 21 ft.

Conclusion Questions:
1. How would you determine the orientation of orthogonal projections in a multi-view drawing?
Answer: First find the side that gives the most information to determine the front. After that, check to see if any sides have any hidden lines to determine how many views are needed.
2. How would you describe the Geometric relationship that exists between the adjacent views of a Multi-View drawing?
Answer: Each side shows two of the three most important pieces of information, Height, Width and Depth.
3. Why is it important to lay out a multi-view sketch with points and construction lines before drawing object lines?
Answer: To make sure that the information from the previous views are accurate with the current view you are drawing.
This Instant Challenge's objective was to build a glass box with an object inside it. We also had to draw a view of each side of the object on to the side of the box that you can see the object through.

This instant challenge objective was to make a LEGO Candy Dispenser. It opens by a lever on the back side that connects to a trapped door on the bottom of the inside letting the candy slide down.
CONCLUSION QUESTIONS:
1. It is important to model an idea before making the final prototype to make sure it met all requirements.
2. We never really found ways to make our ideas work together as a group. We didn't work in a group on this project so, I was able to try my own ideas. (LOOK HOW IT TURNED OUT!!!)
3. A design brief is a description of the problem stating the problem, the client, the constraints, and what you need to do to solve the problem.
4. To market a design, you could make a poster or tell about it in an article or a video.
My original idea was to make it look like most candy dispensers with the candy held on the top and where you would have to turn the quarter insert. Sadly, I didn't have enough of the only Building Material I could use at my house to do that, LEGOS. So I had to simplify and do something a little more basic.
